Nice hotel, decent base for 2 nights in Independence. Spotless room in good condition and with a lot of space. A great selection of supplies in the room: central heating, multi-channel television, and a microwave. Consistently courteous staff and marvellous and unbeatable location not far from brown water called `` coffee '' and a restaurant for breakfast. Also, in the middle of jackson. Really great experience there.

The room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. I slept very well. It was nice to have a microwave oven, coffee & tea making machines, and a fridge available. The setting was marvelous and absolutely perfect, just off Independence, KS. There was a restaurant and downtown nearby.

The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond to honor my request for a ground floor room. The location right in front of a Walmart was really convenient, especially if you forget to pack something. I also loved the window seat in my room, it was a nice touch. The staff answered all my questions satisfactorily and even gave me a gift pack, which was a lovely surprise. They also provided us with two extra pillows as per our request, which was much appreciated. Out of all the motels we stayed at during our trip, Microtel was the best!
